It was another winter escape and time to teach Ayurveda and do some consultations in Barbados (second year there) and Kansas City (fifth year there). I love both places and especially the people - and the fact is hot when I'm there.
Pictures speak a thousand words.
Cooking classes, Ayurveda consultations, Ayurveda Workshops, time on the beach in Barbados, good restaurants in Kansas (and Barbados), yoga retreat in Woodside (Chicago), and GREAT company all round :)

Back at Wainui Beach
I had a great 7 weeks away and every day was special, fun and with great company. I love being on the road and presenting Ayurveda workshops to interested groups. Just mixing with people who interested in making their lives work a little more transparently for themselves, and those around them, is fun. I escaped some of the NZ winter, caught up with some familiar friends in Kansas (this is my 4th year going there), adventuring to Colorado for the first time and seeing mountains again, then doing a few extra unscheduled flights to get in and out of Barbados was another unexpected adventure. My in flights were Kansas - Chicago - Miami (missed my connecting flight to Barbados) - rescheduled to Toronto - Barbados. Then my return was overbooked so I stayed an extra day in Barbados - Miami - LA - Auckland - Gisborne (34 hours in total).
I'm keen to go to an Ayurveda conference in India in February 2011 to experience Dr Robert Svobodas final conference presentation. After 26 years of constant travelling Robert is going to hang up his suitcases and try to stop. He is a mentor of mine and if the universe provides - I'd love to attend that event. Otherwise its working out of my clinic, enjoying Gisborne, and Wainui Beach lifestyle, and surf.

Off to the US and Barbados
I leave 22 June and return to Gisborne 12 August. It will be filled with at least 3 Ayurveda Workshops in Kansas City, a road trip to Colorado to see 2 old clients (one I met this year at my Wainui Beach clinic), and then leave the US for Barbados on 28 July. I arrive in Barbados just in time for Kadooment, a Mardi Gras street festival, then maybe sample their surfing culture, then teach a workshops for my 3 generous hosts Stacey, Hillaire and Lauren. I look forward to all of it.
